"Mother of mercy, is this the end of Rico?"

For you movie buffs, this is the dying statement Rico, played Edward G. Robinson, in the movie Little Caesar.

The answer to the quote in my situation is yes, and no.

Ronna is getting closer and closer to retirement and there are several renovation projects at the house that need to get done before that happens. That's going to require me to come off the road for about 18 months or so.

The plan includes the purchase a larger trailer or 5th wheel after the renovations are complete. So I'm selling the truck camper now to save money on depreciation, insurance and winter storage.

The camper is listed for sale on the Northwood RV Owners Forum, the NATCO Forum and Ebay for $23,000.  If I don't get any offers in about 3 weeks I will take it to Niemeyers RV in Minnesota and have it sold by consignment. They plan on listing the camper for $25000 but will take a 10% fee. So I thought I would offer for a few weeks at a "discounted" price and see what happens.

Its going to be tough to spend this coming winter up north. But the sacrifice will be worth it to spend future winters is warm, sunny climates, as well as having opportunities for more travel to see all this beautiful country has to offer.

Of course there will still be vacations without the camper this year and I will post those on this blog.
